The Poultry Research & Innovation Centre BV is accredited by the Dutch authority institute NVWA to perform feed trials and scientific studies. The majority of the studies concern the evaluation of the effectivity of products with are added into the feed or into the drinking water. Some of the studies are performed to evaluate the effect of new principles on behalf of the hatching period, the transportation system or the housing system. The PRIC is also allowed to evaluate the effectivity of new medicines. In this situation the study is called a scientific study, which has to be performed under the regulations of the Dutch Law on Animal Experiments.
